Our Story and Founder
Our founder, a second generation Sierra Leonian-British grew up hearing stories of shea butter also known as “donni” in Sierra Leone. However, despite its great benefits, this amazing product was referred to as a “poor man’s cream” due to its simplicity and nutty smell. Despite this negative connotation, it is widely used in the continent as the product speaks for itself due to its moisturising, nourishing and restorative properties.
Since going natural in 2011 and embracing her natural hair and skin, our founder has been making her own her own hair and body products for over a decade and finally decided to share it with the world.
